  • Sarah Crook, PhD

    • Epidemiologist

    Dr. Crook is an epidemiologist and health services researcher. She joined the team in February 2019 and oversees team analytics. She earned both her BS in Human Physiology and MS in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the University of Leeds, UK. She then completed her PhD in Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of Zurich, Switzerland, and a training fellowship in Guidelines Methodology with Cochrane and the UK’s National Institute of Health and Care Excellence. In her spare time, she enjoys skiing, baking, and taking care of stray cats!

  • Pengfei Jiang, MS

    • Data Specialist

    Pengfei Jiang brings extensive knowledge to the team in data management and data analytics. He completed an undergraduate degree in mathematics and economics at UCLA, a masters in biostatistics at The Mailman School at Columbia University, and worked for several years as a financial analyst before joining our team. He is the proud father of a domestic shorthair overweight cat.

  • Katrina Golub, MPH

    • Research Coordinator

    Katrina Golub is a research coordinator for the pediatric cardiac center under the Division of Pediatric Cardiology. She received her MPH from Emory University Rollins School of Public Health and has served as a pediatric research coordinator for nearly two decades. When she is not juggling work and two young children, Ms. Golub enjoys running, coffee, libraries, and being outdoors.

  • Karen Martirosyan, MPA

    • Health Services Research Supervisor

    As the health services research supervisor, Mr. Martirosyan manages the team's research operations and projects management. He holds a master of public administration degree from NYU Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, where he studied global health policy, health systems development, and urban health. In his spare time, he enjoys riding his bike, reading, and cooking.

  • Joyce Woo, MD, MS

    • Mentee

    Dr. Woo is a pediatric and fetal cardiologist at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Medical Social Sciences at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She has a background in health economics and joined the Anderson group in 2017, as a pediatric cardiology fellow at Columbia/Cornell. Her research focuses on regionalization, access, and outcomes disparities in congenital heart disease care. She enjoys Chicago dogs with extra pickles, and a good New York slice!

  • Phil Allen, MD, MS

    • Mentee

    Mr. Allen is a medical student at Columbia University working with our team for the year. Among his many projects, he is developing a novel risk algorithm for congenital heart surgery. When he is not in the lab, he enjoys exploring NYC with his fiancé, walking in the Botanical Gardens in the Bronx, and biking from Manhattan to Coney Island.
