Cardiology

Members of our Division of Cardiology have wide-ranging research interests and work with collaborators throughout the department, medical center, and beyond. Their areas of investigation include: 

  • the molecular genetic basis of congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH), a cause of pulmonary hypertension
  • the genetic determinants of cardiac morphogenesis through the study of model organisms
  • the diagnosis and non-invasive evaluation of cardiovascular anomalies in fetuses and children
  • genetic contributions to graft and patient outcomes in heart transplantation
  • fetoscopic surgery to repair heart defects before birth
  • outcomes research/quality improvement
