Ismee Williams, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Cardiology. Dr. Williams has a special interest in fetal cardiology and obtained advanced training in the diagnosis and treatment of fetal cardiovascular diseases during her fellowship at Columbia. Dr. Williams has developed a special interest in early fetal echocardiography and is available to perform fetal cardiac evaluations as early as 12 weeks of pregnancy in patients at high risk for having a fetus with congenital heart disease.

Dr. Williams also has a specialized interest in clinical research and obtained a Masters in Science in Biostatistics in Patient-Oriented Research from the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health in 2006. Dr. Williams currently is participating in multiple clinical investigations including a project evaluating a new abdominal fetal electrocardiogram monitor as well as research looking into the genetic contributors of congenital heart disease as well as the etiology of neurodevelopmental delay in children with congenital heart disease. Furthermore, Dr. Williams is a co-investigator on two multi-center NIH funded network grants, the Pediatric Heart Network and the Pediatric Cardiac Genomics Consortium.
