Anita Patel, MPH, Promoted to Deputy Department Administrator and COO

In May 2022, Anita Patel, MPH, was promoted to the position of deputy department administrator and chief operating officer. She is now responsible for the department’s ambulatory operations enterprise, space planning, and large-scale special projects, and assists department chair Dr. Jordan Orange and department administrator Will Runkle in growing the department and its programs. Anita was division administrator for pediatric cardiology for 3½ years before this appointment. “The department has grown in many ways, including its ambulatory footprint, with many new, exciting initiatives in the months ahead, and Anita’s focus, skill, and expertise will help us all meaningfully advance,” says Runkle.
